About MarNIX

Since childhood, technology has been my passion. At 14, I started investing in technology stocks on Nasdaq, putting my money behind innovative companies that defied market leaders and changed the technological and commercial landscape. To better understand how companies thrive, I went on after high school to study business administration and marketing, but I never forgot that there was as much to learn outside the classroom as within it. 

This was the 1980s, a fascinating time when scores of startups began to transform the market. One of the era’s big innovators was Michael Dell, selling computers from his dorm. I wrote Dell a letter telling him I was an early investor, and a big fan of his disruptive business model. Two weeks later, Dell Benelux hired me as its eighth employee – and I helped this American renegade conquer Europe. Later, Cisco, another US startup trying to muscle its way into European markets, hired me as Employee #12 in the Benelux. 

I have been deeply involved in the European growth of technology companies from the beginning of both my career and the PC era. I have worked with companies of all sizes within various industries, helping them position themselves to strategic advantage, and to dramatically advance their market share. Because of my experience, expertise, and aggressive approach, I excel in spotting opportunities overlooked by others, creating solutions to take advantage of those opportunities, and bringing them to market. The result? Staggering growth. 

My track record reflects an enthusiasm for tackling new challenges rather than resting on old accomplishments. I understand the impact new and emerging technologies have on markets, and how to translate these innovations into new business opportunities. My experience with startups, passion for technology, and delight in innovation has led me today to help tech companies via hands-on strategic involvement and managing angel investments.
